#What Is a Solar Carport?
A solar carport is a steel canopy over parking bays with solar panels on top. It works like a rooftop solar system, but uses your car park instead of your roof. That makes it a strong option when roof space is limited, unsuitable or already full, or when you need more solar than the roof can hold.
Solar carports, solar car parks and car park canopies all describe the same thing. “Carport” usually means a smaller structure over a row of bays, and “canopy” a larger structure over a whole car park.

Yes. EV chargers can be built into the carport so vehicles charge from your own solar during the day, provided the site's electrical capacity supports it. Chargers can also be added later if the system is designed for it.
